'Past Carin' by Henry Lawson

Now up and down the siding brown The great black crows are flyin',
And down below the spur, I know, Another `milker's' dyin';
The crops have withered from the ground, The tank's clay bed is glarin',
But from my heart no tear nor sound, For I have gone past carin' --
Past worryin' or carin', Past feelin' aught or carin';
But from my heart no tear nor sound, For I have gone past carin'.

Through Death and Trouble, turn about, Through hopeless desolation,
Through flood and fever, fire and drought, And slavery and starvation;
Through childbirth, sickness, hurt, and blight, And nervousness an' scarin',
Through bein' left alone at night, I've got to be past carin'.
Past botherin' or carin', Past feelin' and past carin';
Through city cheats and neighbours' spite, I've come to be past carin'.

Our first child took, in days like these, A cruel week in dyin',
All day upon her father's knees, Or on my poor breast lyin';
The tears we shed -- the prayers we said Were awful, wild -- despairin'!
I've pulled three through, and buried two Since then -- and I'm past carin'.
I've grown to be past carin', Past worryin' and wearin';
I've pulled three through and buried two Since then, and I'm past carin'.

CONTINUED....
'Twas ten years first, then came the worst, All for a dusty clearin',
I thought, I thought my heart would burst When first my man went shearin';
He's drovin' in the great North-west, I don't know how he's farin';
For I, the one that loved him best, Have grown to be past carin'.
I've grown to be past carin' Past lookin' for or carin';
The girl that waited long ago, Has lived to be past carin'.

My eyes are dry, I cannot cry, I've got no heart for breakin',
But where it was in days gone by, A dull and empty achin'.
My last boy ran away from me, I know my temper's wearin',
But now I only wish to be Beyond all signs of carin'.
Past wearyin' or carin', Past feelin' and despairin';
And now I only wish to be Beyond all signs of carin'

The Road To Gundagai - Banjo Paterson (good one for this site)

The mountain road goes up and down
From Gundagai to Tumut Town
And, branching off, there runs a track
Across the foothills grim and black,

Across the plains and ranges grey
To Sydney city far away.
It came by chance one day that I
From Tumut rode to Gundagai,

And reached about the evening tide
The crossing where the roads divide;
And, waiting at the crossing place,
I saw a maiden fair of face,

With eyes of deepest violet blue,
And cheeks to match the rose in hue –
The fairest maids Australia knows
Are bred among the mountain snows.

Then, fearing I might go astray,
I asked if she could show the way.
Her voice might well a man bewitch –
Its tones so supple, deep, and rich.

"The tracks are clear," she made reply,
"And this goes down to Sydney Town,
And that one goes to Gundagai."

Then slowly, looking coyly back,
She went along the Sydney track
And I for one was well content
To go the road the lady went;

But round the turn a swain she met –
The kiss she gave him haunts me yet!
I turned and travelled with a sigh
The lonely road to Gundagai.

Cruel love - By Daniel (me) ^^

I gave you my all but it was never enough
I loved you with every part of my heart
Your love, made me blind to all the stuff
And oblivious the bad parts
Now I'll say my farewell I had enough
But out of that cover I'm realizing your a tart
Your love was seductive your mind was manipulative and tough
Your deceit your impoliteness was off the charts

Your ways, your lies and abusing upon me no longer
By your manner, my eagerness to love you is gone
I look upon this as not a loss, but an experience that made me stronger
I only look forward now to what might be, because to you now I'm withdrawn

My life is just beginning and its bright to say the least
But you have no part in it, because you had your chance
From your shackles beginning to feel released
I'm leaving you behind out of reach from your trance

Like a rose with no water all withered and dead,
It was you that I wanted, but I am alone instead,

I died this morning the 9th of June,
but will be born again, sometime soon,

I'll miss you, Warren, Peter, and Sue with all my heart,
But now this is the end, of what I thought was the start.

Sorry, I'm going to lower the tone here. When I think of poetry,the funny rhymes I used in childcare come to my head.

I eat me peas with honey
I've done it all my life
It makes the peas taste funny
But it keeps them on the knife.

or
A camel is a noble beast
He's large and not too hairy
A camel that has just one hump
Is called a dromedary.

What God Has Promised by Annie Johnson Flint

God has not promised
Skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways
All our lives thro’;
God has not promised
Sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow,
Peace without pain.

God has not promised
We shall not know
Toil and temptation,
Trouble and woe;
He has not told us
We shall not bear
Many a burden,
Many a care.

But God has promised
Strength for the day,
Rest for the laborer,
Light for the way,
Grace for the trials,
Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy,
Undying love.

p.s. Is that what that is? Cossie.

The first poem I ever wrote when I was in 6th grade, so don't remember all that much about it. I called the poem
"Lies"

What of the world, outside of what is saw
the way it moves, the way it speaks
what does it all mean behind the closed door
the way it hurts the way it reeks
I say look beyond the light, to see the underlay

Don't remain like a Zombie feeding the corruption
It twist, it strengthens continued to rot and decay
though those of power, have you think its fiction
Don't be Hypnotized by the big mans screenplay
The World is dying the world it quakes under our sin

But all can be saved, not all is grim
together we can change it, starting from within
It has fallen upon of the youth of today

My Sister, Me and my Brother at my Pops 90th

Back in my arms.:

He is back in my arms safe again from what life gives out.

Holding on tite cry away your tears,

They are not forgotten I hold them dear to my heart.
...................................................................................................................
Your love is a lie.:

You Said You Loved Me! But Aways Asked For Something In Return.
You Got Mad At Ae For Being Me!,
You Said You Loved Me Even Through You Where Hurting Me At The Time,
Are They Just Words To You?
Do They Mean Anything?
Or Is It Just Another Spell To Full For?,
Well I'm Not Under It Any More,
I Seen What True Love Is...
It Dosn't Ask For Anything,
The Pain Is Gone So Take The Hint,
No Longer I Need You No Longer Am I Alone No More,
Can You Not see? Or Are You Just As Blinded As I Was,
Why Do You Linger Around In My Mind
I Have Found A Greater Life Yet You Stick Around Thinking I'll Come Back To You,
Even Through Your Love Was A Lie
Leave Now I No Longer Need Your Ticks,
I Am With My Maker My Selvashion,
Is It Jelasy Now That Im Gone Even Through You Never Wanted Me,
Its Just A Game To You Even You Said You Hated Me Through
The Words Of Silnce.
.........................................................................................................................

Who are you to go about being like a christian but you lie when the moment come to stand up for God Who are you to turn from the love you have so pure so tru Who are you to not stand up for the only MAN that ever will stand up for you he will NEVER back down! So stand up speek and never shut up and the God Who stood up for you.

Original Poem written in my childhood:

Just as the mighty river flows the gorge
designed for it to take;
The little be who never questions
all the honey it must make;
Like the sunflower, up early,
to greet the dawn of each new day;
So too could we be in harmony
if we would but trust and obey.

under the sun..

pretty comfortable so far,
don't touch nothin' much that really hurts ya.
'course i'd hate to be lookin' back, playback style.
God, what's it gonna be like'
sitting there with you,
watching my crazy times,
full on review.
all the pain that i felt
and the stuff i shared around.
written just like ink on my body,
my thoughts, my deeds and words.

exposure

back flayed, bone exposed, pre-death

stomach speared, insides out, post-death

You're up there, crucified, naked, on display, alive-dying-dead

resurrection
