"Courageous" currently showing in cinemas, encourages men to be better dads, better husbands, better christians.

So many movies are purely for entertainment, this movie encourages male viewers to become
'courageous' men of God. Good stuff!

I would like to see that movie. I've heard it is good although I think the add on Light FM for it sounds a little cheesy! Perhaps it's just me.

Not cheesy at all Lisa - see the movie! There's a snake king in it who speaks Spanish in a very menacing way...... (wink)

That bit was funny though wasn't it.

The movie is cheesy and a bit daggy and not a big budget flick by any means, but what I liked about it was that it had a great message and it had a lot of non-christians watching it who could perhaps have never set foot in a church except for a wedding or christening. It encouraged good morality and perhaps gave someone a chance to say I might give this Jesus thing a go and see what there is to it.

Well, you know if the chips are down, you can't really ask for divine intervention from anyone else....... it ain't gonna happen! The cinema was packed out when I went to see Courageous and the season was extended due to popular demand.....which does say something. That's not bad for a so called 'cheesy, bit daggy, not big budget flick' (each to his own opinion). Perhaps people do realize that given the recent natural disasters etc. AND Beyonce and Justin Bieber have heaps of fans........

G'day Lisa!

I saw it ages ago, not sure if it's still on!

I'm courageous, so if you can't find it at the movies...

I was just listening to 106.5fm and they've done an interview with casting crowns lead singer. I'm still planning to see the movie, or maybe get the dvd, to add to my collection of uplifting media. I think it's important to support christian entertainment to make sure it survives in the competitive market, and off course to build and support us and the ones around us.
